What we check
- Shingles or roof surface — hail strikes, wind creases, granule loss, cracking, curling and blistering.
- Flashing — chimneys, skylights, walls, valleys and every pipe boot and vent.
- Soft metals — gutters, downspouts, vents and drip edge, which show hail and wind damage clearly.
- Attic — water stains, daylight, damp insulation, mold and ventilation balance.
- Decking — soft spots underfoot that point to long-term leaks.
- Gutters and drainage — where water is going once it leaves the roof.
What you get afterward
A written report with photos of each issue and where it is on the roof, plus a plain-English recommendation: leave it, repair it, file a claim, or plan for replacement. If storm damage is present, the same photos become the start of your insurance documentation.
When to get one
- After any hail or high-wind storm in your area — even if nothing is leaking
- When your roof reaches 15 years old, and every few years after
- Before buying or listing a home
- When you see stains on a ceiling, granules in the gutters, or shingles in the yard
- Before an HOA review or insurance renewal that asks about roof condition
Storm inspections that hold up with insurers
After hail or high wind, the inspection is the start of your insurance documentation. The inspectors we work with on storm claims are HAAG Certified, trained to the same damage-identification standards insurance companies use for their own adjusters. Their findings, photos and test squares go into the report you can send with your claim. See insurance claims help.
Frequently asked questions
Is the inspection really free?
Yes, for homeowners in our service area. No cost and no obligation.
How long does it take?
Most homes take 45 minutes to an hour, including the attic.
Do I need to be home?
It helps for the attic check and to go over what we found, but we can inspect the roof without you and send the report.
Do you do inspections for home sales?
Yes. We provide written roof condition reports for buyers, sellers and agents.
Are your inspectors HAAG certified?
The inspectors we work with on storm and insurance claims are HAAG Certified. HAAG certification trains inspectors to identify hail and wind damage to the standards insurance adjusters are trained on.
Will you tell me if I don't need a new roof?
Yes. Most of our inspections end with no sale. If the roof is fine or only needs a repair, the report says so.
