What Atlanta's climate does to a residential roof
Atlanta roofs live hard lives. Summer attic temperatures regularly climb well past 130°F, which bakes the oils out of asphalt shingles and ages them years ahead of schedule when ventilation is poor. That's why we don't sell a roof by the shingle color alone. Every residential proposal looks at the whole system: the deck, the underlayment, the flashing at every wall and chimney, the intake and exhaust ventilation, and the gutters that carry the water away. How a Mosaic residential project runs
- Free inspection. A partner walks the roof, the attic and the gutters and photographs everything. You see what we see.
- Written, fixed-price proposal. Every line item spelled out - tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, cleanup. No surprise change orders for rotten decking: damaged and rotted decking is replaced at no additional charge.
- Scheduling and materials. We order, confirm the delivery date with you, and protect your landscaping and driveway before work starts.
- Install day. Most homes are torn off and dried in the same day. A partner is on site, not just a crew leader.
- Cleanup and walkthrough. Magnetic sweep for nails, gutters cleared, final photos, and your warranty paperwork.

How long does a residential roof replacement take in Atlanta?
Most single-family homes are torn off and fully replaced in one day. Larger homes, steep pitches, specialty materials or significant decking repair can add a day or two. We give you the expected schedule in writing before work starts.
What does a new roof cost in Atlanta?
It depends on the size and pitch of the roof, the material, how many layers come off, the condition of the decking and how much flashing and ventilation work is needed. That's why we don't quote over the phone. The inspection is free and you get a written, fixed-price proposal - usually within a day.
Do you handle the insurance claim if my roof was hail-damaged?

What warranty comes with a new Mosaic roof?
Every Mosaic shingle replacement includes our own 10 to 15-year workmanship warranty - the full 15 years when you're enrolled in our maintenance program - fully transferable to the next owner, on top of the manufacturer's material warranty.
Will a new roof help when I sell my house?
Usually, yes. A new roof removes one of the biggest inspection objections buyers raise, and our transferable workmanship warranty goes with the house. Attic Armor is another strong selling point because it isn't available from other contractors in most of Georgia.
